Renai Dance is a 3D animated film that explores the integration of Chinese Lion Dancing and Western Modern Ballet, aiming to offer a new perspective on exploring folkways, familial bonds, and cultural continuity. The film uses advanced 3D animation techniques and computer-generated imagery (CGI) to blend traditional cultural themes with contemporary artistic expression, offering a multidisciplinary approach to cultural preservation through digital media.
The narrative explores the cultural transmission of knowledge, focusing on the intergenerational relationship between a young girl and her grandfather, a practitioner of lion dancing. The project blends cross-cultural themes, animation technology, and tailored soundtracks merging traditional oriental music with modern symphonic elements and thematic melodies.
